SUPERPAWN was founded in 1998 by Brad Kay and Beth Kay with a simple but powerful belief: that everyone who walks through the door deserves to be treated with dignity, honesty, and respect, no matter their situation. Over 25 years later, that belief is still the foundation of everything we do.

He graduated from Auburn University in chemical engineering but fell in love with cooking while working to pay for college. Brad Kay’s journey in the pawn industry began in 1990, when he set out to create a better experience built on respect, integrity, and genuine care for customers. From his early days as an auctioneer, he saw an opportunity to redefine what a pawn shop could be.
In 1998, that vision became SUPERPAWN—a business focused not only on transactions, but on the people and stories behind them. Brad’s commitment helped shape a welcoming environment for customers.
Today, SUPERPAWN continues to reflect that vision through respect,
and a commitment to making a positive difference in the pawn industry.
Beth Kay
Beth Kay
Beth Kay plays a key role at SUPERPAWN, overseeing HR, payroll, permits, and operations. Her leadership also helped expand SUPERPAWN online, allowing the company to serve customers worldwide.
Her dedication to teamwork and excellence has helped create the strong family atmosphere at SUPERPAWN. Beth brings that same caring spirit to her husband Brad and daughter Nicole.
Outside of work, Beth enjoys time with her dogs, Davis and Charlie,
and gardening. Her warmth and leadership make SUPERPAWN feel like family.

Since joining SUPERPAWN in March 2022, Charlie has brought joy, energy, and a playful spirit to the store, quickly becoming a favorite among staff and customers.
He loves welcoming everyone, going on walks, and playing catch. His enthusiasm and friendly personality bring smiles and positive energy to the team every day.
Outside the store, Charlie enjoys outdoor adventures with his big brother Davis.

We authenticate luxury goods through Entrupy and verify watches through Watch CSA. We do all of this because we want every transaction at SUPERPAWN to be one you feel completely good about, not just today, but long after you leave.
